I just found out something pretty interesting today. Apparently, using a water flosser when you've got braces can remove up to three times more plaque than regular flossing. Like, seriously? I always thought regular flossing was enough, but turns out braces make it way trickier to reach certain spots. Kinda makes sense now why my orthodontist kept nudging me about it last visit, lol. Curious if anyone else heard something similar or has other tips for keeping braces clean...

That's actually spot-on advice. My orthodontist recommended a water flosser to me years ago when I had braces, and honestly, it was a total game changer. Regular flossing is great, don't get me wrong, but braces just make everything trickier. The water flosser gets into those tight spots around brackets and wires that regular floss can't quite reach—trust me, you'll notice the difference pretty quickly.

One thing I'd add though: don't ditch regular floss completely. I found that combining both methods worked best for me. I'd use the water flosser daily for general cleaning, but once or twice a week I'd still do a thorough flossing session with regular floss to catch anything stubborn. Also, those little interdental brushes (the tiny ones that look like mini bottle cleaners) were super helpful for quick touch-ups after meals.

Braces are definitely a pain sometimes, but keeping things clean makes the whole process way smoother...and your orthodontist happier, lol. Hang in there—it'll be worth it in the end!
