Okay, so yesterday I was at a friend's birthday dinner and my braces wire decided it was the perfect time to pop out and stab me in the cheek. 🙄 I ended up using some chewing gum (I know, I know, not supposed to chew gum with braces but desperate times...) to cover the sharp end temporarily. Got me wondering what other people do when their braces randomly malfunction. Quick poll: what's your go-to temporary fixβgum, wax, nail clippers, or something else entirely?
My daughter had a similar braces "betrayal" moment during her school play last year. Right before going on stage, the wire popped loose and started poking her cheek. She panicked, but luckily another parent had orthodontic wax in their purse (lifesaver!). Ever since then, I always carry a little wax container in my bagβlesson learned the hard way. Gum sounds creative, though... desperate times indeed.
