I had the same experience with cold coconut milk—felt amazing at first, but after a few sips, my gums started feeling weirdly sensitive. Room temp worked better for me overall, even though it wasn't as refreshing.

"Also, curious if anyone tried oatmeal smoothies? I blended oats, almond milk, and a bit of cinnamon...surprisingly tasty and filling, but I'm wondering if oats might irritate healing gums?"

I was actually nervous about oats too (typical me—overthinking everything 😂). But I gave it a shot anyway and was pleasantly surprised. Just made sure to blend it extra smooth so there weren't any gritty bits left. Honestly, the cinnamon worried me more than the oats because spicy stuff usually irritates my gums. But in small amounts, it turned out fine.

One thing I learned the hard way: avoid berries with tiny seeds. Thought a strawberry smoothie would be harmless...big mistake. Those tiny seeds got stuck everywhere and irritated my gums for hours afterward. Lesson learned!

Ugh, I made the same rookie mistake with raspberries. Those tiny seeds were relentless, and it felt like forever before my gums stopped feeling irritated. After that, I stuck with banana smoothies—safe, creamy, and zero seeds to battle. Also, totally agree about oats being fine if you blend them really smooth. Just don't go overboard on thickness... sipping gently is key to comfort.

I get the caution around berries, but honestly, I found blueberries pretty manageable. They're small enough to blend smoothly without irritating my gums. Bananas are great, sure, but sometimes you need a little variety...just saying.

Totally with you on blueberries—they blend up pretty smooth and aren't too acidic either. Another good one is mango; it's soft enough that you don't have to blend forever, and it adds some sweetness when you're sick of bananas. I learned the hard way though: steer clear of raspberries. Those tiny seeds are sneaky little gum assassins...trust me on this one.

Blueberries and mangoes are lifesavers for sure. I remember after my gum surgery, I thought strawberries would be a good idea—soft, sweet, easy to blend...but nope. Those tiny seeds felt like sandpaper on my gums. Lesson learned the painful way, haha.
