Mashed potatoes were okay for me, but honestly, lukewarm soups ended up being my go-to. Tomato bisque or creamy broccoli blended smooth were pretty gentle and filling enough without feeling heavy. I agree about the ice packs thoughβ€”total lifesavers.

"scrambled eggs cooled down worked surprisingly well."

This reminded me...I tried scrambled eggs too early on and regretted it (tiny bits got stuck everywhere, ugh). But after a few days, they were perfect. Just make sure they're super soft and cooled down to almost room temp. Also, smoothies helped a tonβ€”just avoid berries with seeds at first. Hang in there, it'll get easier soon!

Totally agree about smoothies, but honestly I was a bit paranoid about using straws at first (my dentist warned me about dry sockets). Ended up just sipping super carefully from a cup...tedious but safer. Lukewarm soups were definitely the winner for me too.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one who was paranoid about straws! My dentist gave me the same warning, and I spent way too much time googling horror stories about dry sockets (bad idea, btw). Lukewarm soups were my lifesaver tooβ€”especially blended veggie soups. Ice packs helped a ton, but honestly, distraction was key for me...Netflix binges and podcasts got me through the worst of it. Hang in there, you're doing great.

I totally get the paranoia about dry sockets...been there myself and yeah, Google is NOT your friend in these situations, lol. I found that room-temp herbal teas (like chamomile or peppermint) were soothing and helped with inflammation. Also, if you're getting bored of soups, mashed sweet potatoes or avocado can be filling without much chewing. Hang tight, it gets easier after the first few days.

Chamomile tea was soothing for me too, but honestly, I'd be cautious with peppermint...my dentist warned it could irritate sensitive gums. Maybe test a small sip first? Sweet potatoes sound good though, might try that later.
