Totally agree about oatmeal—those tiny bits are sneaky little troublemakers. I found scrambled eggs to be a lifesaver, honestly. Soft, filling, and easy to swallow without much hassle. Also, lukewarm soups were my best friend for a while. And yeah, acidic stuff caught me off guard too... pineapple juice was a rookie mistake I won't repeat anytime soon. Live and learn, right?

Haha, glad I'm not the only one who learned that lesson the hard way. Scrambled eggs sound good, but honestly, I got bored of them pretty fast. Did anyone else try mashed sweet potatoes? They're smooth, filling, and a nice change from soups and eggs. Also, curious if smoothies worked for you guys or if the cold was too much... I'm kinda nervous about brain freeze on top of everything else.

Mashed sweet potatoes are definitely a smart choice—nutritious and gentle enough post-surgery. As for smoothies, they're usually fine if you sip slowly to avoid sensitivity. Maybe try room-temp smoothies at first to dodge the brain freeze...? Did you find any flavors particularly soothing?

Mashed sweet potatoes are great, but honestly, after day two I was craving something salty and savory. Have you thought about broth-based soups? I lived off miso soup when I had mine done—warm, comforting, and easy to sip without chewing. Smoothies were good too, but room-temp smoothies sound... questionable. Did you actually try that? I stuck to banana-peanut butter combos; felt filling and soothing without being too acidic or sugary. Curious what others found easiest to handle.

Actually, room-temp smoothies aren't as bad as you'd think—I made a batch for my son after his surgery and found it easier on sensitive teeth than cold ones. I do agree with you about savory cravings though. Miso soup was fine, but honestly, homemade chicken broth with a pinch of salt and a little ginger was way more satisfying. Kept hunger at bay better too, which meant fewer cranky moments overall...
