I get what you’re saying about consistency, but isn’t it kind of good they tailor it to each person? I had two wisdom teeth out and barely got instructions, but my friend with health issues got the whole protocol. Maybe it’s not just “surgeon preference”—could be patient history too? Still, yeah, would’ve helped to know why certain things were (or weren’t) needed. Not knowing made me way more anxious than the actual surgery.

That’s a good point—sometimes I wonder if they just don’t explain enough because they assume you’ll ask if you’re worried? When I had my veneers done, I got a full rundown, but for a simple extraction, I barely got anything. Maybe it really does depend on your medical history or how complicated things might get. Still, even just a quick “here’s why we’re doing this” would’ve made a difference for my nerves. The unknown is always scarier than the procedure itself, at least for me.
