Sometimes it feels like there’s always something new being pushed, but basic stuff seems to work if you stick with it.

Honestly, that’s been my experience too. I used to buy all the “gum health” rinses and fancy floss, but when I got consistent with just brushing gently and actually flossing every night, my dentist stopped nagging me about my gums. Tried oil pulling too—couldn’t stick with it, just felt odd. Chewing sugar-free gum after meals does seem to help a bit, but nothing beats the basics for me.

Totally get where you’re coming from—there’s always a new rinse or gadget, but honestly, just sticking with gentle brushing and daily flossing has made the biggest difference for me too. Tried oil pulling out of curiosity...couldn’t keep up with it either. Sugar-free gum’s a nice bonus, but yeah, basics really do the heavy lifting.

- Totally agree, but I kinda geek out over gadgets—my electric toothbrush is my MVP.
- Tried those fancy water flossers? Fun at first, but somehow my bathroom always ends up a splash zone...
- Sugar-free gum is low-key awesome for focus during long coding sessions. Not sure it’s a dental miracle, but hey, every bit helps.
- Still can’t get into oil pulling either—feels like a weird smoothie gone wrong.
