I totally get where you’re coming from with the nerves. I was in the same boat last year after my first root canal on a front tooth. My dentist suggested a crown, but honestly, I was worried about losing that “natural look.” Plus, the price tag made me sweat a bit. I ended up just getting a composite filling, and so far (knock on wood), it’s held up. I’m not a nail biter though, so maybe that’s helped.

One thing I noticed is that even though the dentist said crowns are “safer,” he admitted it’s not always necessary for front teeth unless there’s major damage or you’re really rough on them. My cousin did get a veneer instead of a full crown and she loves how it looks—super natural.

It’s definitely stressful deciding what to do, especially when everyone’s teeth (and habits) are so different. Whatever you pick, just know you’re not alone in feeling anxious. These decisions are weirdly personal… just trust your gut and don’t be shy about asking your dentist all the questions you need.
