Didn’t even make it two years before I bit into a tortilla chip and—crack.

That’s my nightmare scenario right there. Did your dentist warn you about the risk, or did they say a filling would be fine? I’ve had two root canals—one crowned, one filled. The crowned one’s still going strong after 8 years, but the filling is already feeling “off” after 3. Wonder if tooth location makes a difference, or is it just luck...

My kid had a root canal on a baby molar and the dentist actually pushed for a crown, said fillings just don’t hold up well in back teeth—especially with all the chewing. I was skeptical at first, but seeing how much punishment that tooth takes, I kinda get it now. Maybe it’s not just luck, but where the tooth is and how much it gets used?
