Reading your experience makes me feel a bit better about going for laughing gas. I've got an extraction coming up—first time ever—and honestly, I'm pretty nervous about it. Dental stuff has always freaked me out a little, so I was leaning towards IV sedation at first. But hearing that laughing gas worked fine for you and saved some cash is reassuring. Maybe it's worth giving it a shot...I mean, if it helps me relax enough without knocking me completely out, that's probably ideal. Guess everyone's anxiety levels are different, but your post definitely eased my mind a bit. Thanks for sharing your experience—it helps to know others have been through this and came out okay!

I totally get the nerves—had my first extraction last year and went with laughing gas too. Honestly, it was way easier than I expected, and saving some cash was a nice bonus. You've got this...it'll be over before you know it.

Glad to hear laughing gas worked out well for you. I'm leaning toward IV sedation myself, mostly because I'm pretty anxious about dental stuff. But hearing your experience does make me wonder if laughing gas might be enough after all. Did you feel completely relaxed during the procedure, or were you still somewhat aware of what was happening?

I've had both laughing gas and IV sedation, and honestly, if you're really anxious, IV sedation might be the better bet. Laughing gas definitely takes the edge off, but you're still pretty aware of what's going on—sounds, pressure, movements. With IV sedation, I was completely out of it and woke up feeling like no time had passed. If anxiety's a big factor for you, I'd lean toward IV sedation just to make sure you're fully comfortable... it's worth the peace of mind.

Totally get where you're coming from—IV sedation sounds amazing for anxiety. I went with laughing gas purely for budget reasons, and while it wasn't perfect, it did help enough to get me through comfortably. Glad you found something that worked well for you!
