Did you really feel like the sensitivity faded after two weeks? I'm on week three and still cringing every time I sip cold water... maybe I'm doing something wrong. Also, does toothpaste flavor even matter that much if it actually works? I'd gladly brush with chalky mint glue if it meant ice cream stopped being torture. Did switching brands help at all, or is it more about just waiting it out?

Honestly, three weeks isn't that unusualβ€”I was still wincing at cold drinks almost a month in. It felt like forever, but it did gradually ease up. I don't think you're doing anything wrong; everyone's teeth just react differently. For me, switching toothpaste brands actually helped a bit. I went from one of those super minty ones to a milder flavor specifically labeled for sensitivity, and it made brushing less miserable at least. Flavor itself probably doesn't matter much effectiveness-wise, but if the taste is tolerable, you're more likely to brush thoroughly and consistently, which definitely helps in the long run.

Hang in there... I remember thinking I'd never enjoy ice cream again, but now I'm back to eating it without flinching. It just takes some patience and maybe a little experimenting with different products.

I get where you're coming from, but honestly, flavor made a huge difference for me. Weirdly enough, I found the minty ones actually irritated my gums more. Switching to a fruity sensitivity toothpaste (sounds gross, I know...) helped way more than I expected. Maybe it's not just about tolerability but also ingredients interacting differently? Teeth are strange creatures...

I totally relate to the minty toothpaste irritation thing... thought I was just being overly sensitive or something. Did you notice if your gums felt better pretty quickly after switching flavors, or did it take some time? I've been debating trying a fruity one myself, but I'm kinda nervous it'll taste weird or won't feel clean enough after brushing. Teeth really are weirdly picky about stuff like this... Glad you found something that helps though!

I feel you on the fruity toothpaste hesitation... I switched to a strawberry one a while back, and honestly, it took a few days before my gums felt noticeably calmer. Taste-wise, it's kinda weird at first but surprisingly refreshing after a bit. Teeth really are picky little things, aren't they?
