That's a great point about diet and acidity. A friend of mine had a similar issueβ€”not lemon water, but she was constantly snacking on dried fruits thinking they were a healthy alternative to candy. Turns out, the sugars and stickiness were wreaking havoc on her teeth. Once she swapped them out for fresh fruit and veggies, her dentist noticed a huge improvement.

It's funny how we sometimes overlook these small habits because they're labeled as "healthy." Makes me wonder what other seemingly harmless foods or drinks might be secretly causing dental issues... Has anyone else noticed sensitivity or enamel problems linked to foods you'd never suspect?

My daughter had a similar issue, but with smoothies. We thought we were doing great by blending fresh fruits every morning, but turns out the constant exposure to fruit acids and sugars was softening her enamel. Our dentist suggested drinking water right after or using a straw to minimize contact. Honestly, it's surprising how even the healthiest habits can backfire if we're not careful... moderation really is key, I guess.

We had something similar happen with my son, but it was sports drinks. He was drinking them after soccer practice thinking it was healthy hydration, but our dentist pointed out the sugar and acidity were causing enamel issues. Who knew, right? We switched to plain water and occasional coconut water instead. Did your dentist mention anything about coconut water as an alternative? Curious if that's a safer option or if we're just swapping one problem for another...

We had a similar wake-up call with my daughter, but ours was flavored watersβ€”thought we were being smart and budget-friendly. Turns out, same sugar-acid combo sneaking in there too. Dentist didn't mention coconut water specifically, but now you've got me wondering if we're just paying extra for fancy packaging...

We went through something similar with my youngestβ€”thought we were being super clever swapping juice boxes for those fancy organic fruit pouches. You know, the ones with the happy cartoon fruits smiling at you from the shelf? Yeah, turns out they're basically candy in disguise. Our dentist gave us that "nice try" look and gently explained that sugar is sugar, even if it's organic or has a cute mascot.

Honestly, I think half the time we're just paying extra for prettier labels and buzzwords like "natural" or "hydrating." Coconut water sounds innocent enough, but now you've got me suspicious too. At this point, I'm convinced if it tastes good and kids actually want it, there's probably a catch somewhere...
