Why does every makeover seem to fade after a few weeks?

- That initial boost is wild, but yeah, it’s like the shine wears off once you get back to your normal routine.
- I always wonder—do people actually keep up with all the aftercare stuff long-term? Or do most folks just go back to old habits after a while?
- I tried whitening strips and felt like a superstar for about a week. Then coffee happened...

I totally relate to the whitening strips thing—felt like I had a movie star smile for maybe five days before my coffee addiction took over. I always start out super motivated with aftercare, but honestly, it’s tough to keep up when life gets busy (and let’s be real, those special toothpastes aren’t cheap). I try to balance it by picking a couple things I know I can stick with, like flossing, but I definitely slide back into old habits sometimes. Maybe the trick is accepting that a little fade is normal and not beating ourselves up about it.
