Strips always slide around for me, especially if I talk or even try to swallow. I get those weird patchy spots too—looks like I chewed on a highlighter. I’ve tried one of those LED kits (the cheap Amazon kind), but honestly, didn’t notice much difference versus regular strips. Maybe it’s just the placebo effect with the blue light? Custom trays are pricey, but I agree, they seem to work better and last longer. That “zing” feeling is no joke though…

I keep seeing the LED kits everywhere, but honestly, I’ve been super skeptical about that blue light. From what I’ve read, unless you’re using a legit peroxide gel with a dentist-grade tray, the light’s just for show... I tried one of those cheap kits too (the kind that comes with the little mouthpiece and a couple syringes of gel), and it was basically the same as strips for me—slight difference, but nothing dramatic.

Strips are a pain for me too—they never sit flush against my teeth, so I always end up with those weird white spots. I think it’s because my teeth aren’t perfectly straight, so the strips don’t make full contact. I’ve wondered if prepping my teeth differently would help, like drying them off more before putting the strip on? Or maybe using a retainer to hold them in place? No clue if that’d actually work.

I’m still debating if custom trays are worth the price. That “zing” you mentioned is real though... makes me nervous about upping the peroxide concentration. Anyone else get that sharp pain even after just one use?
