I’m getting a little self-conscious about my teeth lately (blame too much coffee and, uh, red wine), so I’ve been looking into whitening stuff. But wow, there’s a ton of options out there—strips, those little paint-on pens, trays with gel, even some weird blue light thing? It’s honestly kinda overwhelming.

I tried the classic Crest strips years ago but remember them sliding around and making my gums tingle in a not-so-fun way. Never tried the pens or the custom trays though. Are those any less messy? Do they actually work better or is it just marketing hype? Also curious if anyone’s had luck with the “natural” stuff (like coconut oil pulling or whatever), or is that just wishful thinking?

Not looking to drop dentist-level money but don’t wanna waste cash on something useless either. Anyone got real results from a product you can pick up at Target or Amazon? Would love to hear what actually worked (or didn’t) for you—especially if you drink coffee/tea like me and have stubborn stains.

Any horror stories or hidden gems?
