That's an insightful observation, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. I've been researching whitening longevity myself, and your point about regular professional cleanings aligns with some dental literature I've come across. While reducing staining beverages certainly helps, the mechanical removal of plaque and surface stains during routine cleanings seems to significantly enhance whitening durability. Personally, I've noticed some improvement by limiting coffee intake, but the results weren't as pronounced until I combined it with consistent dental visits. It's reassuring to hear your experience mirrors this. I might consider discussing this further with my dentist to see if there's additional evidence or recommendations they can provide. Thanks for bringing this perspective into the discussion—it's definitely worth exploring further.

Interesting points here, and I mostly agree. Regular cleanings definitely help, but from my experience, the whitening method itself matters a lot too. I tried those at-home strips a while back—results faded pretty quickly even with dental visits. Then I switched to professional whitening at my dentist's office, and the difference was night and day. Lasted way longer, especially when I cut back on tea and red wine. So yeah, cleanings are important, but the initial whitening quality seems just as crucial...
