"I've tried using sensitivity toothpaste beforehand, and it seems to help a bit"

Yeah, sensitivity toothpaste beforehand is great. Another thing I've found helpful is applying a thin layer directly onto my teeth overnightβ€”sounds weird, but it really cuts down on morning sensitivity. Worth a shot maybe?

Honestly, the overnight toothpaste trick sounds kinda messy...and knowing me, I'd probably wake up with minty drool all over my pillow, lol. I've found that swishing coconut oil around for a few minutes before bed actually helps reduce sensitivity and brightens things up a bit by morning. Sounds weird too, I know, but at least it's tasty and less sticky than toothpaste. Might be worth trying if you're not into the toothpaste sleep mask thing.

I've heard about the coconut oil thing before, but honestly, I'm always worried I'll accidentally swallow it or something, haha. Does it feel weird at first? Also, has anyone tried those charcoal powders? I've seen them everywhere lately but I'm kinda nervous they'll stain my sink or something...

I've tried coconut oil pulling a few timesβ€”it does feel weird at first, kinda like swishing melted ice cream around your mouth, haha. But you get used to it quickly. Haven't tried charcoal yet though...doesn't it taste gritty? I'm curious if it really makes a noticeable difference overnight.

Haha, melted ice cream is exactly how I'd describe coconut oil pulling tooβ€”spot on. Charcoal isn't gritty exactly, but it does feel kinda chalky and weirdly dry...like brushing your teeth with crushed Oreos minus the sweetness. Overnight miracles? Eh, not really. But I do notice my teeth looking a bit brighter after a couple uses. Worth a shot if you're curious, just don't expect Hollywood-level results by morning, lol.
