Hypothetically, if you tried extracting some herbal stuff at home—like oils or tinctures—and it went kinda wrong (maybe too strong or weird smell or something), how would you fix it?

Fair point, but glycerin can leave a weird coating on your teeth—trust me, my dentist wasn't thrilled. Personally, steeping tinctures in citrus juice masks the taste without the sticky sweetness or dental drama...

I've heard citrus juice can help, but doesn't it mess with potency or shelf-life? I'm kinda new to this myself and honestly a bit nervous about messing things up. I tried honey once to mask the alcohol taste—big mistake, ended up way too sweet and sticky. Now I just dilute tinctures in herbal tea or water right before taking them. Not fancy, but it works without weird aftertastes or dentist lectures...

Haha, as someone who's spent way too much time chatting with my dentist about enamel erosion (occupational hazard of citrus obsession), I totally get the caution. But honestly, citrus juice isn't always a villain—small amounts can actually brighten flavors without wrecking potency. If you're worried about shelf-life, maybe try adding a drop or two of peppermint extract instead? Masks alcohol pretty well and leaves your mouth feeling fresh...bonus points from your dentist too.

Citrus juice can definitely be nice, but I dunno...my dentist always gives me the side-eye whenever citrus comes up, lol. I've found honey works wonders for masking weird tincture tastes without any dental drama. Just a tiny drizzle stirred into warm tea or water smooths things out nicely—plus it's budget-friendly since a little goes a long way. Peppermint extract sounds good too, but personally, honey's my go-to since it's always in the pantry anyway.

Honey's a solid choice—gentle on teeth and tastes great. Citrus isn't terrible occasionally, but yeah, dentists usually warn about enamel erosion. Mint tea or even cinnamon can also mask weird tincture flavors without dental worries...just throwing more options out there.
