Okay, so I recently got some extractions done and started using this calming serum my esthetician recommended. It feels nice at first, but after a few days my skin feels kinda tight and dry...anyone else notice this with calming serums?

Hmm, I've had similar stuff happen after dental work—my skin gets weirdly sensitive and dry. Maybe the serum's a bit too much right now? Could try using it less often or mixing in some gentle moisturizer...worked for me at least.

Ugh, dental work is the worst...my skin freaked out after my wisdom teeth came out too. Felt like a dried-out raisin for days, lol. Moisturizer def helped, but honestly, time was the real MVP. Hang in there, it'll chill out soon enough.

Ugh, totally feel you on the skin thing. Did you have to take antibiotics after the extraction? Those always mess with my skin big time—dry patches, random breakouts, the whole deal. Moisturizer helps, sure, but drinking extra water made a bigger difference for me. Either way, give it a few days and things usually settle down on their own...just one more fun side effect of dental work, right? Hang in there.

Had something similar happen with my daughter after her wisdom teeth came out. She didn't have antibiotics, but the extraction site healing seemed to throw off her whole skin balance for a bit—dryness, redness, you name it. We tried a calming serum too, and it actually made things feel tighter at first. Eventually switched to a gentle moisturizer and just waited it out. Like others said, hydration helped more than anything else. Seems like it's just part of the body's way of adjusting.
