Haha, tortilla chips sound brave! I remember being so paranoid about crunchy stuff that I stuck to mashed potatoes and oatmeal for way longer than necessary. And yeah, brushing was a whole ordeal—I kept picturing I'd accidentally reopen the wound or something, even weeks after it healed. Took me ages to trust myself again with a toothbrush near that spot...funny how cautious we get, huh? Glad to hear I'm not the only one who went through this weirdly cautious phase.

Haha, this was totally me! I remember cautiously nibbling on a slice of pizza like three weeks later, convinced the crust would somehow undo everything. Took forever to eat normally again...funny how our brains work sometimes.

Haha, same here—I was so paranoid about chewing anything crunchy or sharp-edged. I practically lived on mashed potatoes and smoothies for weeks. Honestly, though, it's mostly psychological...once you get past that mental hurdle, everything feels normal again pretty fast.

Interesting points, but I'm not entirely sure it's mostly psychological. I mean, sure, there's definitely a mental component—like the fear of reopening wounds or getting food stuck—but isn't it also about how fast your mouth physically heals? For instance, I still had noticeable swelling and sensitivity around week two, which made crunchy foods uncomfortable, not just scary. Did anyone else notice that their healing seemed slower or faster depending on how impacted their wisdom teeth were or how complicated the extraction was? Mine were impacted pretty badly, so maybe that contributed to the longer recovery period. Just wondering if the mental hurdle really is the main factor, or if physical differences play a bigger role than we think...

Yeah, good point about the physical side—I was super careful mentally, but honestly, my recovery was pretty quick and easy. Maybe it really does depend more on how complicated the extraction is...mine weren't impacted at all, so that probably helped a ton.
