I mean, sure, gravity does the trick...

"Took a bit longer, sure...but peace of mind was worth it."

But honestly, as someone who spent way too much on smoothies and soups during recovery (my wallet still hasn't forgiven me), I eventually got impatient and just carefully sipped drinks from the edge of the cup. Wasn't exactly comfy at first, but after a couple days it felt fine and saved me a few bucks on specialty foods. I think sometimes we're overly cautious because of all the horror stories online—I know I was—but turns out common sense and gentle sips won't doom you. At least that's my budget-friendly (and slightly reckless) take on things...

Yeah, I totally get the smoothie regret—my blender practically lived on my counter for a week, and those frozen fruit bags add up quick. Did you try mashed potatoes or scrambled eggs early on? I found they were cheap, filling, and didn't irritate anything. Honestly, after day three I was sipping coffee carefully too...didn't feel amazing at first, but nothing terrible happened. Guess everyone's recovery is different though, right?

Haha, smoothie regret is real—I always tell my patients they're gonna get tired of fruit faster than they think. Mashed potatoes are definitely a winner; soft carbs for the win. Scrambled eggs are great too, but pro tip: let them cool off a bit first. Hot food + fresh extraction site = not fun. Coffee's tricky...some people handle it fine, others not so much. Did anyone brave something crunchy too soon and instantly regret it? Popcorn kernels are sneaky little devils...

My daughter just had hers out last week, and honestly, I'm still nervous about letting her try anything crunchy. She's been eyeing chips like they're gold, but I keep picturing sharp edges near those stitches...yikes. The scrambled eggs tip is great though—we learned that one the hard way (ouch). Wondering if anyone's kiddo had issues with dairy after surgery? She loves yogurt, but I've heard mixed things about dairy causing irritation or infections.

My grandson had his wisdom teeth out about a month ago, and he was begging for chips after just a few days too—must be something magical about crunchy snacks when you can't have them, haha. We stuck to mashed potatoes, soups, and smoothies at first. Dairy didn't seem to bother him at all, actually yogurt was one of his favorites. I think as long as she's careful and rinses gently afterward, yogurt should be fine. Just keep an eye out for any discomfort...but honestly, she'll probably heal up quicker than you expect. Hang in there!
