Yeah, I've been stressing about this too... but honestly your post makes me feel a bit better. Maybe it's less about age and more just how our bodies handle things? Fingers crossed I'm one of the lucky ones like your brother.

Honestly, I think you're onto something there. When I had mine out, everyone warned me it'd be awful, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. I was back to work in about four days, though still a bit puffy (definitely rocking the chipmunk look for a while...). It's probably a combo of genetics, body reactions, and how well you follow aftercare. Try not to overthink it—I know, easier said than done—but most people I know were pleasantly surprised. Good luck!

Mine was honestly not bad at all either. First two days, I lived on smoothies and ice cream (best excuse ever to indulge, btw). By day three, I was eating soft pasta and mashed potatoes. Definitely still had the chipmunk cheeks—my roommates made sure to document that thoroughly—but pain-wise, totally manageable. Just follow the aftercare instructions closely, keep ice packs handy, and you'll probably bounce back quicker than you think.

Haha, relatable... my family still brings out those photos every now and then. Sounds like you're doing great though, just keep taking it easy and you'll be back to normal before you know it.

Haha, sounds like you're handling it pretty well. But honestly, everyone's recovery is so different—my daughter bounced back in just a couple days, but my nephew took almost two weeks before he felt normal again. Did your dentist give you any specific tips to speed things up? Ours recommended ice packs religiously for the first 48 hours, and I swear it made a huge difference. Also, are you managing to eat okay? My kiddo practically lived on smoothies and mashed potatoes for days...she was thrilled at first, but even she got tired of it eventually. Hang in there—chipmunk cheeks don't last forever, even if the embarrassing photos do!
