Sounds like you handled it pretty well overall. Chips at week two though... ouch, that's brave, haha. You're right, recovery timelines really vary—I've seen patients bounce back in days, while others take a solid month to feel completely normal. Listening to your body and easing into textures gradually is definitely the way to go. Glad you're past the worst of it now!

Haha, seriously, chips at two weeks is definitely ambitious. I've seen friends try pizza around that mark and instantly regret it—crust edges are sneaky brutal. Typically, the timeline really depends on a couple factors: how impacted your wisdom teeth were, how smoothly the extraction went, and of course, personal healing speed. For most folks I've talked to, the first week is all about soft foods—think smoothies, yogurt, mashed potatoes. Around week two or three, you can usually start carefully testing slightly crunchier textures (maybe not chips though... just sayin'). By week four, most people feel pretty much back to normal texture-wise. But everyone's different; some lucky ones breeze through recovery in a week or so, while others are still cautious about crunchy tacos even after a month. Good call on listening to your body—it's always smarter than cravings (unfortunately). Glad things are finally looking up for you!

Haha, yep, learned that the hard way when my daughter tried garlic bread around day 10... instant regret. Honestly, patience pays off—better safe than sorry when it comes to healing properly. Glad you're feeling better though!

Ouch, garlic bread sounds rough... I remember thinking I was good to go around day 8 and tried some tortilla chips—big mistake. Took me another week to feel comfortable eating anything crunchy again. Did anyone else find temperature sensitivity lasted longer than expected? Cold drinks were a no-go for me for almost a month, which seemed kinda weird.

Weird, I actually had the opposite experience with temperature. Cold stuff was a lifesaver for me—smoothies, ice cream, even iced water felt amazing. But anything warm or hot? Nope, couldn't handle it comfortably for weeks. I wonder if it depends on how your nerves heal or something... everyone's recovery seems so different. Crunchy foods though, totally agree—chips were off-limits way longer than I expected.
