Mine was actually the opposite—I didn't really have jaw stiffness at all, but the sensitivity hung around forever. Felt like I couldn't eat anything remotely cold for almost a month. Weird how recovery varies so much from person to person... Maybe it depends on how impacted they were or something? Either way, glad that's behind me now, lol.

Yeah, it's really fascinating (and sometimes frustrating) how differently our bodies handle things. I've seen people bounce back in days, while others take weeks or longer. Cold sensitivity can be especially rough—makes you realize how much you miss ice cream, right? Glad you're finally past it though, must feel great to eat normally again. Hang in there, anyone else still recovering...it does get better eventually.

Honestly, I found heat sensitivity way worse than cold. Couldn't enjoy my coffee for almost two weeks, which was torture since I'm pretty caffeine-dependent... Weirdly enough, cold stuff didn't bother me much at all. Just goes to show how unpredictable recovery can be. Glad you're feeling better though, that first normal meal after wisdom teeth removal hits different.
Totally get where you're coming from with the heat sensitivity, but honestly, cold was way worse for me. I remember thinking I'd be fine with smoothies and ice cream—like everyone says—but nope, felt like biting into a glacier. Weirdly enough, hot stuff was my savior. Warm soup and tea were about the only things I could handle comfortably for the first week or so.
Recovery really does seem to vary wildly from person to person. My daughter bounced back in three days flat and was munching chips by day four (I know, crazy right?), while my son took nearly two weeks before he could even look at solid food without wincing. Wisdom teeth are unpredictable little monsters... just glad we only have to deal with them once!
Haha, your daughter must have superhero genes or something. I was definitely more like your son—took me a solid two weeks before I could even think about crunchy stuff without cringing. Weirdly, lukewarm mashed potatoes became my best friend. You're totally right though, wisdom teeth are sneaky little beasts... glad that's a one-time deal. Hang in there, it gets better!
