Mashed potatoes were alright, but honestly, I found anything mushy got old pretty fast. Weirdly enough, scrambled eggs were my lifesaver—they're soft enough to manage but still felt like actual food, y'know? And about popcorn cravings...ouch, brave choice! I couldn't even look at popcorn for weeks after mine. Took me about two weeks to feel fully normal, but hey, everyone's healing is a bit different. Hang in there, it'll pass before you know it.

Totally feel you on the scrambled eggs, they were my MVP too. Weirdly enough, I got hooked on instant oatmeal packets—cheap, easy, and just enough flavor variety to keep me sane. Popcorn though? Nah, learned that lesson real quick...

Haha, popcorn is basically the wisdom teeth recovery equivalent of stepping on a Lego—instant regret. I made the mistake of thinking rice would be fine too... nope. Tiny grains everywhere, total nightmare.

Instant oatmeal packets were a lifesaver for me as well, but I got bored pretty fast. Ended up blending smoothies like my life depended on it. Banana, peanut butter, yogurt—basically anything soft enough to not trigger dental PTSD. Honestly, I think my blender was ready to file a restraining order by day five.

For me, feeling "normal" again took about two weeks. The swelling and pain eased up after a few days, but the weird jaw stiffness lingered way longer than expected. Also, nobody warned me about the random phantom tooth sensations afterward... anyone else get those weird ghost pains?

Anyway, glad that's behind us now. And seriously folks, keep flossing—your future self (and your dentist) will thank you later.

Haha, totally relate to the smoothie marathon—I practically lived off mashed potatoes and applesauce for a week. Hang in there, though...it gets better faster than you think. And yeah, those phantom tooth pains are weirdly common, you're not alone there.

I definitely agree about the phantom pains—had those myself, and they're surprisingly unsettling. My recovery took about ten days before I felt fully comfortable eating solid foods again. One thing that helped me manage costs was prepping homemade soups and freezing them in portions beforehand. Smoothies are great, but the ingredients can add up quickly if you're not careful... Planning ahead saved me both money and stress during recovery.
