Letting it sit sounds way less scary than swishing, honestly. I remember after my molar extraction, I was so worried about messing up the healing that I barely wanted to open my mouth, let alone rinse with salt water. I kept thinking, what if I do it wrong and cause a dry socket? Did you guys ever worry that even just letting the saltwater sit there might still be too much? Or is that just me being paranoid...

I get it, I was super anxious too. Even just holding the saltwater in my mouth felt risky, like maybe I’d mess something up and end up with a dry socket anyway. Honestly, I kept second-guessing everything... Paranoia or not, you’re definitely not alone.
