RE: Dental crowns: zirconia vs porcelain, which lasts longer?
That’s actually super reassuring to hear. I’ve been stressing about picking between the two, especially since I grind my teeth at night and constantly worry about cracking something. Did you notice any sensitivity with z...
RE: Getting my bite fixed with metal in my mouth - worth it?
Same here - eating was way worse than talking for me. I got so sick of yogurt and soup, honestly. Did your niece ever try those dental wax things? I found them super helpful for the first few weeks, especially with all t...
RE: Root canals: not as scary as they sound?
Totally agree about the unknown being worse. I watched a couple videos (maybe too many, honestly) before my first root canal, and yeah, knowing what they were actually doing helped a ton. Still freaked out when I sat in ...
RE: Hypothetically, if you tried extracting some herbal stuff at home - like oils or tinctures - and it went kinda wrong (maybe too strong or weird smell or something), how would you fix it?

Mint brownies do sound way tastier than toothpaste brownies, gotta agree there. But I'm not totally convinced on adding more oil to mellow out strong extracts, especially peppermint. Wouldn't that just dilute the potency...
RE: Eating comfortably when your mouth feels like a construction zone
Smoothies definitely helped me too, especially banana and almond milk - good call. Did you try adding a bit of peanut butter or avocado? The extra creaminess seemed to coat my mouth nicely and reduced irritation. Strange...

Yeah, I've run into the same issue. Valerian root was especially tricky for me - it just never seemed to fully extract in glycerin, even with heating and extra steeping time. Ended up with something weak and kinda slimy,...
