RE: Would You Go for a Brighter Smile with Lasers or Stick to DIY Kits?
That’s interesting - did you have any lingering sensitivity after the laser thing, or was it just a day or two? I’m always worried it’ll mess with my gums or something. Also, did your insurance cover any part of it, or w...
RE: What to do when your braces break on a Sunday
Title: Braces Breaking on Weekends Is the Worst Yeah, the timing is always ridiculous. I’ve had a bracket pop off during a Sunday lunch at my aunt’s, and it was just hanging there, digging into my lip. I tried to ignore...
RE: Keeping pain at bay after wisdom tooth extraction: worth the fuss?
Yeah, I’m with you - followed all the rules, still had a dull ache for a week. Did anyone else get random throbbing at night? I kept thinking I’d messed something up. Is it just the nerves settling down, or what?
RE: How I pack and care for my retainer when traveling - step by step
Losing the actual retainer case is exactly what I’m worried about. I keep thinking I’ll leave it on a restaurant table or something dumb like that. AirTag’s a cool idea, but honestly, I’m not sure I trust myself not to l...
RE: Dealing With That Weird Pressure After Sinus Surgery
Yeah, I totally had that after my sinus surgery. The pressure and weird ear noises freaked me out too. For me, it lasted about two weeks - felt like forever. I kept worrying I’d messed something up just by sneezing or la...
RE: How I deal with a busted tooth until I can see the dentist
This is exactly what I worry about every time - like, I’m constantly checking for the tiniest bit of swelling just in case I’m missing something serious. I hear you about the sugar-free gum too. I’ve read mixed stuff abo...
RE: That first week after wisdom teeth removal… did anyone else swear by ice packs?
I actually wondered if I was overdoing the ice too... After a couple days, it mostly just made my face numb and uncomfortable, not really less puffy. Did your swelling go down on its own, or do you think propping up at n...
RE: Keeping your electric toothbrush in shape - what do you actually do?
That actually makes me feel a lot better. I’ve been stressing about germs, but it’s just exhausting keeping up with all the gadgets and wipes. Do you just rinse with hot water after every use? I keep worrying I’m missing...
RE: HOW OFTEN DO YOU REALLY NEED TO SEE YOUR DENTIST AFTER IMPLANTS?
I’ve been wondering about this too, honestly. My dentist had me on the three-month checkups right after my implant, but after a year, she said six months was fine since I don’t have gum issues. Still, I get anxious every...
RE: That awkward moment you realize your surgeon remembers your favorite smoothie flavor
Yeah, it’s wild how something small like remembering your drink order makes the whole experience feel a bit more human. I totally agree, the medical part is what really matters, but those little gestures help take the ed...
RE: The day my tongue cleaner became a secret weapon
I totally get what you mean. I’m new to this whole tongue scraper thing and honestly, I was expecting some kind of dramatic change, too. Have you noticed any difference with bad breath or taste? I keep worrying mine’s ju...
RE: Quick fix for brighter teeth - baking soda vs activated charcoal?
Honestly, I tried both baking soda and charcoal and just ended up with sore gums and no real difference in color. Is it just me, or do these “natural” tricks seem way harsher than regular toothpaste? Maybe I’m just too i...
RE: Picking the right blast: a dental adventure
I’m honestly a little nervous to even use one of those things after reading stuff like this. Did you get bleeding gums, or just soreness? I always worry I’ll mess up and make things worse. My dentist said to start on the...
RE: Noticed my gums getting crankier as I get older - anyone else?
Yeah, I totally relate to the “moody gum” thing. I used to think it was just me, but apparently gums really do act up as you get older. For me, spicy food is the main culprit now. I used to eat hot salsa or jalapeños wit...
