RE: Where do you keep your toothbrushes? Need ideas!
I hear you on the magnets - sounds clever, but knowing me, I'd probably knock one into the sink or something. I actually tried the utensil organizer thing for a bit, but it weirded me out seeing toothbrushes next to wher...
RE: My Teeth Went from Meh to Wow - Here's How
I've always had sensitive teeth too, so I totally get the hesitation. Tried a few home kits myself - some were brutal, honestly - but recently found one labeled specifically for sensitive teeth (think it was Crest?). Did...
RE: wisdom tooth removal aftermath - anyone else deal with this?
I remember trying clove oil after my wisdom teeth came out, and honestly, I was so nervous about it burning that I barely used any at first. Even then, it still felt pretty intense. Eventually, I chickened out and stuck ...
RE: Can Better Gum Care Really Save Your Teeth?
I used to think brushing was enough too, but after losing a tooth last year (ugh, still makes me anxious thinking about it), my dentist really stressed flossing and regular cleanings. Honestly, since I started flossing d...
RE: TEETHING TROUBLES: GEL VS. TEETHING RINGS?
Yeah, gels always made me a bit nervous too... I mean, numbing stuff in a baby's mouth? Just didn't sit right with me. We stuck mostly to chilled teethers and those frozen washcloths - worked pretty well without the worr...
RE: tooth extraction: what's your go-to comfort trick?
I feel you on the anxiety thing - last extraction I had, I was so worried about dry socket that I barely even wanted to swallow. Lukewarm pudding sounds smart though; I mostly stuck to room-temp mashed potatoes and soup ...
RE: Freaking out about root canal - anyone else get sedation?
I totally get the anxiety...had sedation for mine last year and honestly, best decision ever. Barely remember anything, just felt groggy afterward. Only downside was needing someone to drive me home, but worth it for the...
RE: Noticing differences each time orthodontist adjusts wires?
Reading your post brought back memories... I've had braces for nearly a year now, and honestly, each wire change still makes me anxious. The soreness varies a lot - sometimes it's manageable, other times it feels like my...
RE: my dentist says i'm brushing wrong...help me out here
I've been thinking about those electric toothbrushes too, but honestly, the buzzing and timers kinda stress me out. My dentist keeps mentioning them though, so maybe it's worth pushing through the anxiety...dunno yet.
RE: Need quick fixes for dragon breath before date night
Yeah, I've tried the baking soda thing too... wasn't awful but honestly made me a bit anxious about swallowing it by accident. I've found sipping water regularly and avoiding coffee helps more than mints or gum ever did.
RE: My retainer smells weird - how do I fix this?
Ugh, retainers... I tried baking soda too, but got paranoid it'd scratch mine up. Now I just soak it in denture cleaner tablets every few days - smells way better and feels safer somehow. Still kinda gross tho, lol.
RE: Struggling to Feel Comfortable With My New Dentures
I get where you're coming from... I remember when I first got mine, it felt SO obvious to me. Honestly, three weeks isn't that long - you're still adjusting. But I gotta say, from my own experience, the awkwardness doesn...
