Totally agree—comfort is so individual. I've seen patients swear by wedges, while others toss them after one night. Honestly, whatever pillow combo lets you catch some sleep is the real MVP... recovery's challenging enough without pillow drama, haha. Glad your daughter found her sweet spot!

I can definitely relate to the pillow struggle mentioned earlier. When I had my bone graft surgery last year, I initially invested in one of those pricey orthopedic wedges everyone recommended. After two sleepless nights, I switched back to a carefully stacked combo of regular pillows from around the house. Surprisingly, that homemade setup worked perfectly for me. Just goes to show that comfort isn't always tied to cost or specialized products—it's really about personal preference and trial-and-error.

Interesting...did you find the regular pillows held their shape well enough through the night? I'm scheduled for bone graft surgery soon and was just about to order one of those wedges, but now I'm reconsidering. Maybe I'll experiment with what I've got at home first—might save me some cash and frustration. Did you have to rearrange them often, or did they stay put pretty well?

Honestly, I found regular pillows to be pretty decent, but it really depended on how restless I was that night. When I had my bone graft surgery, I tried the wedge pillow first (borrowed from a friend, thankfully—those things can be pricey!), but it felt too rigid for me. Ended up switching to regular pillows halfway through the night anyway.

I did have to adjust them a couple times, especially if I shifted positions. But stacking two firm pillows with a softer one on top seemed to do the trick most nights. You might want to test out your setup beforehand, just to see what feels comfy and stable for you. Everyone's different, so experimenting at home first is definitely a smart move—plus, saving a little cash never hurts, right? Good luck with your surgery; hope everything goes smoothly!

Regular pillows worked fine for me too, but I did have to shuffle them around a bit through the night. Tried a wedge pillow once—felt way too stiff. Honestly, whatever setup helps you sleep comfortably is the right one... trial and error helps. Good luck!
