Is it just me or does anyone else feel like dentists are always trying to upsell stuff? Last visit mine kept pushing this sealant thing for cavities, saying it's preventative, but idk...feels like another way to squeeze money outta me. Curious if others had similar experiences.
I've definitely felt that way before, but honestly, the sealant thing can be pretty helpful. My dentist recommended it a few years back, and since then I've had fewer cavities overall...might be worth considering if cavities are a recurring issue for you.
"My dentist recommended it a few years back, and since then I've had fewer cavities overall..."
I was skeptical about sealants at first too, felt like just another upsell. But after my third cavity in two years, I figured I'd give it a shot. Honestly, it's been a game changer for me. Haven't had any new cavities since, and it's been almost four years now. I get the frustration with dentists pushing extras, but sometimes those recommendations actually do pay off...at least in my experience.
