I've heard about the hairspray trick before but never actually tried it myself... always worried it'll make things worse somehow. When you say blot gently, do you use paper towels or a cloth? I'm guessing paper towels might leave little bits behind, but cloth might spread the ink more? Ugh, stain removal feels like such a gamble sometimes. Has anyone noticed if different ink colors respond differently to hairspray or is it pretty much the same across the board?

I've tried the hairspray thing a couple times, and honestly, paper towels can be hit or miss—sometimes they do leave those annoying little fuzzies behind. Cloth works better for me, but only if it's super clean and dry to avoid smearing. Funny enough, blue ink seems way easier to tackle than red or black...no clue why! Has anyone else noticed certain fabric types responding differently? Cotton vs synthetic maybe? Seems like my cotton shirts forgive me faster than my polyester ones, lol.

I've noticed that too...cotton definitely seems more forgiving. Polyester is tricky since ink seems to bond faster with synthetic fibers. Maybe try rubbing alcohol next time—it's gentler and usually works well without leaving fuzzies behind. Good luck!

Totally agree, rubbing alcohol helps a ton, especially on synthetics. Another trick I've found useful is blotting gently from the edges inward—keeps the stain from spreading. Polyester can be stubborn though... learned that one the hard way with my kid's soccer jersey.

I've never tried rubbing alcohol before... honestly, I'm always a bit nervous it'll ruin the fabric or something. Usually, I stick to gentle detergents and soaking overnight, but polyester is definitely tricky. My niece spilled grape juice on her cheerleading uniform last month, and I panicked big time. Ended up using baking soda paste (someone suggested it online), let it sit for a while, then rinsed carefully from behind the stain. It worked surprisingly well, but I was holding my breath the whole time thinking I'd mess it up worse. Maybe next time I'll try your rubbing alcohol tip—just gotta work up the courage first, haha.
