Ever tried baking soda paste for delicate fabrics? It's gentle but surprisingly effective. Learned that trick after ruining my favorite scrubs with harsh stain removers... worth a shot next time, maybe?

I've heard that baking soda paste works wonders for some folks, but honestly, I've had mixed results. It does seem gentle enough, but sometimes it just doesn't cut it for tougher stains—especially coffee or ink. I ruined a perfectly good scrub top once thinking baking soda alone would handle a stubborn coffee spill... ended up setting the stain deeper somehow.

What I've found works better (at least for me) is a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution. It's gentle enough on most delicate fabrics if you test it first, and it lifts stains pretty effectively without damaging fibers. Just gotta rinse thoroughly afterward. But hey, everyone's mileage varies, right? Maybe I just haven't mastered the baking soda technique yet...

I've had similar issues with baking soda paste—it seems hit or miss depending on the stain. Have you tried mixing baking soda with a bit of dish soap instead? I've found that combo tackles coffee stains better than baking soda alone. Hydrogen peroxide's great too, but I always worry it'll fade colors over time...have you noticed any fading on your fabrics after repeated use?

Honestly, I've used hydrogen peroxide for years on all sorts of stains (coffee, tea, even red wine—don't judge, haha), and I've never noticed any significant fading. Maybe it depends on fabric quality or dye type? I do dilute it slightly though, just to be safe. Baking soda and dish soap combo is decent, but peroxide's my go-to for stubborn stains. Just my two cents!

I've had mixed results with peroxide myself. It's great for whites and lighter colors, but I did notice some subtle fading on darker fabrics after repeated use—even when diluted. Could just be the dyes or fabric quality like you mentioned. Honestly, for dark clothes, I've switched to vinegar and baking soda...works surprisingly well and no fading issues so far. Just thought I'd share my experience in case anyone else is worried about their favorite black tee turning grayish over time, haha.
