Dish soap, really? Never thought of trying that... does it matter what kind you use? I usually panic and toss stuff straight into the washer, hoping for the best. Lost a nice sweater that way onceβstill hurts a bit to think about it, haha.

Ugh, I feel your pain... ruined my favorite hoodie last winter trying to scrub out a coffee stain. I've heard dish soap works wonders, but does anyone know if it's safe on delicate fabrics like wool or cashmere? I'm hesitant to risk another disaster.

I've used dish soap on wool before, and honestly, it can be hit or miss. A tiny bit diluted in cold water worked okay for me once, but another time it left the fabric feeling kinda stiff and weird. Cashmere seems even trickierβI wouldn't risk it personally. Have you tried baby shampoo instead? It's gentler and usually safer on delicate fibers. Learned that trick after nearly wrecking a nice scarf myself... live and learn, I guess.
Baby shampoo's definitely gentler, agreed, but I've had decent luck with diluted white vinegar too. It sounds weird, I know... but it neutralizes odors and lifts stains without messing up delicate fibers. Just rinse thoroughly after, or you'll smell like salad dressing all day.

Haha, learned that the hard way myself... vinegar's great but the smell lingers longer than you'd think. Ever tried baking soda instead? Curious if it works better on tougher stains.
