Weird but true: toothpicks aren’t enough

Honestly, I still stick with floss most days. Those little brushes are cool but my gums just never got used to ’em, even after a month. Guess everyone’s mouth is different. Toothpicks never did much for me either, though—just kinda poked around, you know?

Those little brushes can feel awkward at first, but sometimes it’s just about finding the right size. I’ve seen folks give up because they’re too big or too small for the gaps. Floss is great, but for people with wider spaces or bridges, those brushes can actually make a big difference. Toothpicks… yeah, mostly just push stuff around unless you get the soft ones. Everyone’s mouth is a bit different, though—I get that.

Couldn’t agree more about toothpicks. I used to rely on them, but after getting a bridge, my dentist suggested those tiny brushes. Took me a few tries to find one that actually fit—felt weird at first, but now it’s second nature. My tip: try a couple different brands and sizes. And don’t force it if it feels too tight or scratchy... you’ll know when it’s right.

I totally get what you mean about those tiny brushes feeling strange at first—I remember thinking, “Is this even doing anything?” But after a couple weeks, I could tell my gums felt healthier. Out of curiosity, does anyone here still use floss with a bridge, or did you just switch to brushes? I kept both in my routine for a while, but honestly, the brushes are way easier for me.
