Which floss brands actually last through the whole mouth?

Totally get where you’re coming from with the floss struggle, especially with braces. The “tape” flosses can be so slippery that it feels like they’re just gliding past everything instead of actually cleaning. Woven floss tends to grab more, but yeah, it’s tricky not to snap or fray it if you’re rushing or dealing with tight spots.

Honestly, if you’ve found a store brand that holds up and doesn’t shred on your brackets, you’re doing better than a lot of folks. The fancier stuff isn’t always worth the price tag - sometimes the basics just work. And as for threaders, they’re helpful but I know they can be a pain to use every single time. If your cleanings are going well and your gums look healthy, then your routine is clearly working for you.

I’m with you on skipping the fancy floss. I’ve had decent luck with the Target up & up mint waxed floss - cheap, doesn’t shred much, and actually lasts through my whole mouth, even with tight teeth. Not perfect, but good enough for the price.

I get the appeal of saving money, but I actually had the up & up floss break on me a couple times. My teeth are pretty close together though, so maybe that’s why? I switched to Glide and haven’t had it snap yet, but it does cost more... Still, anything that doesn’t leave me awkwardly fishing out bits of floss mid-way is a win for me.

Yeah, I totally get that. My kid has super tight teeth too, and the up & up stuff just kept snapping. Glide costs more, but honestly, it saves us all a lot of frustration (and less whining at bedtime).
