So I just got my dental implant done yesterday, and now I'm sitting here overthinking every little thing I eat or drink, lol. Dentist said to be careful with the stitches, but um... how careful is careful enough? I'm curious how everyone else handles thisβdo you stick strictly to soft foods, or do you just chew carefully on the other side? Quick poll: soft-foods-only club or cautious chewing crew? Curious what most people actually do...
I usually tell my patients to stick mostly to softer stuff for the first few daysβthink scrambled eggs, yogurt, mashed potatoes, smoothies, that kinda thing. You don't have to go full baby food mode, but definitely avoid crunchy or chewy foods. Chewing on the other side carefully is fine too, just don't push it. Basically, if you're worried about it, maybe skip it for now... better safe than sorry, right? It'll heal faster than you think anyway. Hang in there!
