Been thinking about getting veneers, but I'm kinda worried about how long they'll really hold up. My dentist says around 10-15 years, but I've heard some people say theirs chipped or stained way sooner. A friend of mine swears by avoiding super crunchy foods and coffee to keep hers looking good longer. Seems like a bit much to give up coffee tho, lol. Anyone got tips or hacks for keeping veneers looking good longer?
I've had veneers for about 12 years now, and honestly, they're still holding up pretty well. Sure, I've had to be a bit carefulβlike not biting into super hard stuff (learned that the hard way with an apple once, lol)βbut I definitely haven't given up coffee. Just rinsing with water afterward or brushing gently seems to keep stains at bay. Regular check-ups and cleanings help a ton too. You don't have to go overboard, just a bit of common sense goes a long way.
