Last time I went for a cleaning, my dentist asked if I wanted to add fluoride for an extra fee. I said yes cuz my teeth have been annoyingly sensitive lately, especially with cold stuff. Honestly, not sure if I noticed a huge difference yet, but maybe it takes a few treatments? Curious what others usually do. Quick poll:
Do you usually pay extra for fluoride at dental visits?
- Yep, always.
- Nah, never bother.
- Sometimes, depends on how my teeth feel.
- Um... fluoride what now?
I usually go for it, especially since my teeth can get pretty sensitive too. Fluoride treatments aren't like an instant fix, though—they build up enamel strength gradually, so you might not notice a huge difference right away. For me, after a couple treatments, cold drinks stopped being such a pain. If sensitivity is bugging you, I'd say stick with it for another visit or two and see if things improve...worked out pretty well in my experience.
