most of the time it’s not as dramatic as our brains make it out to be...
Honestly, I had a mini freakout when my implant felt “off” for a few days. The cost was already stressing me out, so every twinge made me think I’d wasted my money. But after a week, things settled down and I realized I was just hyper-aware because of the investment. If it’s not actually wobbly, sometimes you just need to give it time. Easier said than done though, especially when your wallet’s still hurting.
Totally get where you’re coming from. I remember being on edge for weeks after mine, just waiting for something to go wrong because of the price tag. Every tiny ache felt like a disaster in the making. But yeah, most of it was just me overthinking. Still, I wish dentists talked more about how normal those weird sensations are at first... it would’ve saved me a lot of stress.

Totally agree with this. When I first got my braces off and switched to a retainer, every odd feeling made me panic. What helped me was making a list of what felt “off,” then checking back in a week—most things faded away on their own. Have you found any tricks that help you tell the difference between normal healing and something actually wrong?
