Yeah, I totally get what you mean. When I switched to vaping, my gums actually got more sensitive too, especially with the higher PG juices. Cutting back on nicotine helped a bit, but the dryness and weird film never fully went away for me. Honestly, vaping didn’t do my mouth any favors compared to smoking... just different problems.
That’s interesting, because my dentist actually said vaping was a bit easier on my gums than smoking. I mean, I still get some dryness and that weird taste sometimes, but my gums stopped bleeding as much after I switched. Maybe it’s just different for everyone? I do worry about the long-term effects though… feels like there’s always a catch.

Same here. I switched to vaping after years of smoking and my gums did seem less irritated, but I still get paranoid about what it’s doing long-term. Dry mouth is a thing for me too. No more bleeding, but now I’m just anxious about different problems... never feels like a win.

That’s exactly how I feel watching my kid go through this. Switched to vaping thinking it’d be easier on the teeth and gums, and yeah, less bleeding, but now it’s dry mouth city. Dentist said dry mouth can cause its own set of issues too, so I’m always nagging about water bottles and sugar-free gum. Feels like we’re just trading one worry for another sometimes...

Honestly, I get where you’re coming from, but I’m not convinced vaping is much better for oral health. My dentist said the dry mouth from vaping can actually speed up cavities. Swapping bleeding gums for constant dryness just feels like a lateral move, not a solution.
