I get the appeal of the ultrasonic cleaners—they really are a “set it and forget it” solution. But honestly, I’ve seen plenty of people keep their dentures fresh with a quick nightly soak and a gentle brush. Even just rinsing right after meals helps a ton. It’s more about consistency than fancy gadgets, in my opinion. That said, if the “old shoe” vibe is haunting you in the morning, maybe it’s worth the upgrade... everyone’s nose is different, right?

That’s pretty much how I see it too—consistency seems to matter way more than the specific method. I’ve always been a little paranoid about odors, so I do the nightly soak and brush thing, but I’ll admit, there are nights when I’m just exhausted and skip it... and then, yeah, you notice it in the morning.

I did try an ultrasonic cleaner for a bit because I kept worrying I wasn’t getting everything clean enough. It’s convenient, for sure, but honestly, if you’re not remembering to use it regularly, it’s just another thing collecting dust. I think the key is building that routine—like putting your dentures to soak while you brush your teeth or wash your face, so it becomes automatic.

One thing I’ve noticed: if I eat something especially sticky or strong-smelling (garlic bread is my nemesis), a quick rinse right after really helps. Otherwise, even the fanciest cleaner won’t save you from that morning “old shoe” moment. It’s just about finding what fits into your day without stressing you out more than necessary.

Garlic bread gets me every single time too—it’s like my dentures just marinate in it overnight. I totally get the “old shoe” vibe in the morning if I skip the routine. I’ve tried those fancy cleaners, but honestly, half the time I forget to even fill the cup. I do find that rinsing right after eating anything sticky or spicy helps a lot, though. It’s weirdly satisfying to see all the random crumbs come off. I’m still working on making it a habit, but hey, small wins, right?

Honestly, I just use regular dish soap and a soft brush—way cheaper than those cleaners. Haven’t noticed much difference, as long as I’m not lazy about it. The “old shoe” smell only creeps in if I skip a day or two... but yeah, rinsing helps.

I totally get the “old shoe” smell thing—been there. I tried the dish soap trick too but ended up switching to those fizzy tablets after a while. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I swear my dentures feel a bit fresher with them… though, yeah, rinsing every day is the real game-changer. If I skip, I notice it right away.
