It’s funny, I see this a lot—some folks can drink hot coffee with zero drama, while others feel like their dentures are auditioning for a magic trick and trying to disappear. Chewy stuff is definitely the bigger culprit in my experience too. Adhesive brand and fit make a difference, but honestly, sometimes it’s just about how quickly you eat (or sip). I always tell people: slow down with that soup... your mouth will thank you.

I get what you’re saying about eating slow, but honestly,

sometimes it’s just about how quickly you eat (or sip)
—for me, even if I take my sweet time, hot drinks still feel risky. Maybe my fit’s just weird? Chewy bagels are a menace, but soup is my sneaky nemesis.

- Totally get the “soup is my sneaky nemesis” bit—hot liquids are unpredictable.
- Chewy bagels? Yeah, they’re like a stress test for adhesives.
- If hot drinks still feel risky even when you sip slow, might be worth checking fit or switching adhesive brands.
- Sometimes it’s not just speed, but temp and suction that mess things up.
- I’ve had days where soup felt like a contact sport... dentures trying to make a break for it.

Yeah, soup days are the worst—mine once did a full somersault mid-slurp. Have you noticed if it’s worse with certain temps or foods? I found switching up adhesives helped, but honestly, some days it just feels like a gamble.

It’s such a relief to hear I’m not the only one who’s had a “flying denture” moment... Soup is always risky for me too, especially if it’s really hot. I swear some days I can’t predict what’ll set things off—sometimes it’s just a soft sandwich and boom, there goes my confidence. I’ve tried different adhesives but they all seem hit or miss depending on what I eat. It’s honestly kind of stressful, but hearing others go through it makes it feel less like I’m doing something wrong.
