Dental schools are definitely worth a shot, I've had good luck there myself. Another thing that's helped me is carrying those little adhesive strips—they're less messy than the creams and easier to discreetly fix if things start slipping. Had a similar café moment once, felt like everyone noticed but honestly, most people are too busy worrying about their own stuff to pay attention. Still, it's reassuring to hear I'm not alone in these awkward denture adventures...

Haha, that's so true. Reminds me of the time I was at airport security and had to discreetly adjust my dentures right before the metal detector—talk about awkward timing. Those adhesive strips are a lifesaver though, way better than fumbling with creams in public. Has anyone found a good way to handle overnight flights? Sleeping upright always seems to make things shift around more...

I've never had dentures, but I can relate to the awkwardness from my orthodontic retainer days. Overnight flights were always tricky—I'd wake up paranoid that I'd drooled or something shifted out of place. Do dentures feel similar in that sense? Like, do you find yourself waking up frequently to check they're still secure, or is it more about comfort and positioning? Curious how different dental appliances compare when traveling...

I totally get that retainer paranoia—I remember once waking up mid-flight, convinced I'd lost mine somewhere under the seat. 😅 Wonder if dentures cause similar anxiety, or is it more about comfort issues like sore spots or dryness on long flights?

Haha, retainer panic is real—I feel ya. Dentures definitely have their own quirks, though. For me, it's less about worrying they'll vanish mid-flight (thank goodness), and more about the dryness and occasional sore spots. Pro tip: sipping water regularly helps a ton, or even popping in a mint to keep things moist. But yeah, awkward moments still happen...like discreetly adjusting them when you think no one's looking. You're not alone there!
