“it’s a trade-off: convenience vs. that deep clean.”

Totally get what you mean. I’m always weighing cost and effort, too. Picks are cheap and quick, but I just trust the old-school floss more for that “hug” around the tooth. Still, picks are a lifesaver when I’m out and about or feeling lazy.

That “hug” you get with string floss really does make a difference for plaque removal, especially around tight contacts. I’ll admit, though, those little picks are like the Swiss Army knife for lazy nights or when I’m stuck in traffic. String’s more effective, but picks definitely win for convenience... and for not getting weird looks at work.

Man, I always *want* to be that person who uses string floss every night, but let’s be real—half the time I’m half-asleep and just grabbing whatever’s closest. I do feel like the string gets in there better, especially if I’ve had popcorn or something stuck. But those picks are so much easier when I’m on the go or just feeling lazy. Honestly, my gums haven’t really complained either way… yet. Anyone else get that weird satisfaction from seeing what you pull out, or is that just me?
