Last week I took my niece to the dentist and she was super nervous, clutching her stuffed bunny like it was a lifeline. So I started making up this silly story about Princess Sparkletooth and her brave adventures in Toothland...worked wonders, she totally relaxed. Anyone else got creative tricks like this?

That's adorable—I remember when my son had his first dentist visit, he was terrified. I ended up pretending the dental chair was a spaceship and the dentist was an astronaut checking his teeth before launch. Worked like a charm... kids have amazing imaginations.
