Saw this news segment yesterday about how certain snacks and drinks are secretly destroying our teeth, and honestly, it kinda bummed me out. I mean, I knew candy and soda weren't exactly tooth-friendly, but apparently even stuff like dried fruit and granola bars can be pretty rough on enamel. Who knew raisins were basically tiny sugar bombs sticking to your teeth all day? And don't even get me started on citrus fruitsβturns out my morning OJ habit might be slowly dissolving my pearly whites. Um, yikes.
Anyway, the dentist they interviewed said it's not just about sugar but also acidity and stickiness. Basically, anything that hangs around in your mouth too long or is super acidic can cause trouble. Now I'm second-guessing my snack drawer at work...maybe it's time to rethink my afternoon munchies.
Anyone else catch this story or have thoughts on it? Curious if this changes how you look at your favorite snacks or if you're just gonna keep munching away regardless, haha.

Yeah, raisins surprised me too...I used to snack on trail mix thinking it was a healthy choice. Now I'm leaning towards crunchy veggies or cheese cubes instead. Anyone found tasty tooth-friendly alternatives?
