Glad you gave it a shot—I had the same hesitation at first. Honestly, the pressure sensor was a game changer for me too, especially since I tend to brush like I'm scrubbing dishes, lol. Curious if anyone's tried those gentler brush heads specifically for sensitive gums?

Totally relate to the scrubbing dishes comment, haha. I used to brush way too hard and my dentist kept gently reminding me that "less is more." Switching to an electric toothbrush with a pressure sensor definitely helped me ease up without even realizing it.

About those gentler brush heads—I've actually tried them out because my gums get pretty sensitive sometimes, especially during allergy season (weirdly enough). They do feel softer and less abrasive, which is nice. But honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference compared to just being mindful of my brushing pressure. They're comfortable though, so if your gums are particularly sensitive or irritated, they might be worth the slight extra cost. I usually grab mine when they're on sale or bundled in packs online—makes it easier on the wallet.

Either way, glad you found something that's working well for you. Small changes can really make a big difference over time!

Interesting you mention the softer brush heads—I tried them too, thinking they'd help with sensitivity. Weirdly enough, they felt almost too gentle for me, like they weren't cleaning thoroughly. Maybe it's just psychological, but I ended up brushing longer to compensate...which probably defeated the purpose of switching in the first place. Curious if anyone else experienced that or if it's just me overthinking things again.

Had a similar experience with softer brushes. Felt like I was spending extra time brushing just to feel clean, which kinda defeats the purpose of being gentle. Wonder if there's a sweet spot between softness and firmness that's effective but still easy on sensitive gums...anyone found a good middle-ground brush head that doesn't break the bank?

I've had the opposite issue actually—firmer brushes always felt like they were doing more harm than good, especially around sensitive gums. Took me a while, but I eventually found medium-soft brush heads designed for electric toothbrushes (generic brands online are pretty affordable). They seem to hit that middle ground you're talking about. Sometimes it's less about softness and more about technique...gentle circular motions can make even softer brushes feel effective without irritating your gums. Just something to consider!
