"I once borrowed my sister's countertop flosser and ended up soaking half the bathroom—she still teases me about it."

Haha, been there myself! Did you try leaning over the sink more? Took me a few tries to get the hang of it without flooding the countertop. Totally get the battery anxiety too... ever thought about keeping a spare charger handy? Either way, floss picks are still a solid choice—whatever keeps you comfortable and consistent, right?

Haha, I can totally relate to the bathroom flooding incident. My first attempt with a countertop flosser was basically a water park experience—towels everywhere. Honestly, it took me a good week before I figured out the right angle and pressure settings. Leaning over the sink definitely helps, but I also found that keeping my mouth slightly closed around the tip reduced the splash zone significantly.

As for the cordless vs countertop debate, I've tried both. Cordless is handy if bathroom space is tight or if you're traveling, but the battery life drove me nuts after a while. I always forgot to charge it, and it inevitably died mid-floss. Countertop models, once you get past the initial learning curve (and the occasional accidental shower), are pretty reliable. Plus, you never have to worry about battery anxiety.

But yeah, floss picks are still a lifesaver on busy days or when traveling. Whatever works to keep the dentist happy and cavities away, right?

Glad I'm not the only one who struggled with that. My first countertop flosser experience was a disaster too—water everywhere, mirror soaked, total mess. I switched to cordless thinking it'd be easier, but now I'm constantly paranoid about battery life. It's like flossing anxiety... always worried it'll die halfway through.

Has anyone else noticed the cordless ones seem weaker overall? Maybe it's just mine, but even fully charged, it doesn't feel as powerful as my old countertop model. I'm tempted to switch back, but the flooding trauma is still fresh in my memory, haha. Is there a countertop model that's less intimidating for newbies? I just want clean teeth without turning my bathroom into SeaWorld...

I hear you on the cordless anxiety—been there myself. Have you tried dialing down the countertop pressure at first? Starting low helped me avoid the splash zone until I got the hang of it...might save your bathroom from another flood, lol.

Countertop definitely has its perks, but honestly, cordless isn't that anxiety-inducing once you get used to it. I started using mine in the shower—zero worries about flooding the bathroom floor and cleanup's a breeze. Plus, no countertop clutter. Might not have as much power, but it's plenty effective for daily use...just my two cents.
