Totally get the smoothie struggle—been there myself. But honestly, pudding cups and mashed potatoes might not be the best long-term choice nutritionally, especially when you're healing. Maybe try blending simpler stuff like bananas, peanut butter, and milk? Cheaper ingredients, less mess, and still gentle on your gums. Worked pretty well for me after my procedure...and no crime scene cleanup needed.

Totally feel ya on the smoothie struggle—been there too. Bananas and PB are great, but if budget's tight, oatmeal blended with milk and a bit of honey was my lifesaver. Super soothing, cheap, and kept me full without wrecking my gums... Hang in there, it gets easier.

Totally agree with this! Oatmeal smoothies were a game changer for me too. Another thing that helped was chilling the smoothie beforehand—cold drinks felt way better on my gums than room temp. Also, if you're getting bored of oatmeal, try blending in some avocado. Sounds weird, I know, but it makes the smoothie creamy and adds healthy fats that keep you full longer. Plus, avocado is gentle enough not to irritate sensitive gums.

And yeah, ice packs are seriously underrated. I rotated two packs constantly during the first few days post-surgery. It was a hassle at first, but it really helped keep swelling down and made recovery way more manageable. You're doing great... just keep taking it one day at a time.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was skeptical at first because my dentist warned me about sensitivity, but cold actually felt way better for me than lukewarm stuff. Weird how everyone's different, huh?

The oatmeal smoothie idea sounds pretty good—I haven't tried avocado yet, though. Did you just blend it straight in, or did you add other fruits or flavors to mask it a bit? I'm curious because avocado texture usually throws me off, but I could definitely use something filling and gentle right now.

And totally agree about the ice packs. I started off just using frozen peas wrapped in a towel (lol), but finally caved and bought proper gel packs. Huge difference. Swelling went down way faster, and I felt less miserable overall. Glad I'm not the only one who found relief in something so simple...

Same here with the cold drinks—warm stuff just made my gums feel kinda achy and uncomfortable. I blended avocado with banana and a bit of honey, couldn't even taste it...just made it creamy and filling. Worth a shot if you're unsure about texture.
